At The Marvell College, we are proud of the achievements of all our pupils. As recognised by Ofsted in July 2024, this is an inclusive, caring and friendly school where pupils are known well as individuals and leaders are ambitious for their future learning and employment. We understand that success takes many forms, particularly for pupils who face additional barriers, and we value the progress, resilience and pride pupils show in their work.
Published outcomes provide an important snapshot of attainment at the end of Key Stage 4, but they do not capture the full breadth of pupils’ learning and personal development. Leaders use performance information alongside their strong knowledge of pupils to evaluate the impact of a high-quality, well-sequenced curriculum and to identify where further improvement is needed, including how best to support pupils’ personal development, wider experiences and preparation for their next steps.
The table below sets out our most recent Key Stage 4 performance measures. These include attainment in GCSE English and Mathematics, overall Attainment 8, and information relating to entry to and outcomes in the English Baccalaureate (EBacc). This information supports leaders and governors in their collective determination that The Marvell College continues to improve and that pupils are well prepared for their next steps.
This is reflected in our destinations data, which shows that 99.1% of pupils successfully transition into the next stage of their education, employment or training.
Our outcomes also compare favourably with schools locally. In 2025, our Attainment 8 score was above the Hull average of 40.2, reflecting the positive impact of leaders’ ambition, staff commitment and pupils’ hard work.
