Year 11 Shine Summit 

On Thursday 18th September 2025, The Marvell College were delighted to welcome the IntoUniversity team on site to work with a group of 30 Year 11 pupils.

Miss Wilson Year 9 DT pupils inspired Memphis Lamps 

Congratulations to our Year 7 girls rounders team who won all their matches on Tuesday night in the Hull Active Schools tournament resulting in 1st place. The girls represented the school excellently and demonstrated superb ambition and teamwork. Well done girls!   PoT - Macy L

On Wednesday 2nd July Mrs Clark took a group of pupils from Year 7-9 to Middleton Hall to perform in 'Hull Gotta Dance'; a regional showcase of performances from Hull Primary and Secondary Schools as well as local dance schools. The pupils danced two of their numbers they have been working on in dance club this year. They behaved impeccably and performed brilliantly, and really enjoyed watching and supporting other schools too.

The Summer Showcase will take place on Wednesday 9th July 2025 at 5:30pm. Tickets are available to purchase on ParentPay!  

We welcomed the Challenge Cup on Thursday 3rd July 2025. Lots of pupils had the opportunity to have a photo with the cup. We had lots of happy pupils and staff.

Our Year 9 boys won the Yorkshire Plate final, 14-12 against a very strong Airedale Academy. An outstanding effort from all, we are all extremely proud of them!

Tyler has achieved 100% completion in Extended Learning this year, completing over 180 assignments in total. He has also maintained a 100% average score across all assignments, repeating each piece of work that has been set by his teachers until he achieved perfection. Well done, Tyler!

Last week the Performing Arts department took the Year 9 BTEC Dance and Drama pupils to Hull Truck Theatre for the day to support them with their course work for Component 1: 'Exploring the Performing Arts'. The pupils met with theatre staff who discussed the responsibilities of their roles, as well as taking part in practical technical workshops whcih showed them how to operate the sound and lights. All sessions were informative and engaging and pupils came away with valuable knowledge to support their work for this unit.

FINALISTS!! Huge congratulations to our Year 9 Rugby team who won their Yorkshire Plate semi-final by beating South Holderness 40-22! This result taking us into the final. Well done boys! MoTM - Jack.C  

Congratulations to our Year 7 boys football team who secured a 3-1 victory over a competitive SMC team on Wednesday evening. PoTM - Tom.B for his energy in midfield and well taken volley on his debut!
