On Thursday 27th February 2025, we had one of Hull Children’s Book Award shortlisted and Waterstone’s Children’s Book of the Year shortlisted author Clare Harlow visit TMC and speak to the pupils about her novel Tidemagic: The Many Faces of Ista Flit. Clare spoke about her writing process and how anyone can write a story from the stories that surround them. The pupils taking part in the James Reckitt Book Awards asked interesting questions about the illustrations and the editing process. We even had a budding author show their story to Clare.  

Well done to Mrs O'Connell who will be presenting at the National Careers Guidance Show on Thursday 27th February 2025. 

The Marvell College are proud to announce that our Headteacher. Mr Matthews, and our SENDCo, Mrs Sams will be presenting at the ASCL Annual Conference in Liverpool on Friday 14th March 2025.  Their presentation is at 1:00pm and will centre around the school’ work to ensure that we have an inclusive offer that allows all pupils to engage and make progress in a talk titled “Putting marginalised learners at the heart of school improvement.” https://www.ascl.org.uk/Microsites/Annual-Conference/Programme

As our pupils prepare to head off for their much-anticipated ski trip to Andorra on Saturday, we want to wish them a safe journey. We are confident it will be a brilliant trip and an unforgettable experience.
