Librarian

With effect from 1st September 2019

Salary: Grade 2 SCP 1 – 3 £17,364 - £18,065 pro rata

Hours: 35 per week - term time only plus 2 days

The governing body of The Marvell College are seeking to appoint a librarian with effect from 1st September 2019.
Working as part of a supportive team, the successful candidate will be passionate about developing students’ reading skills and will be committed to raising the profile of reading across the school. As part of the role, the librarian will:

- Develop the library as an effective resource
- Manage the library systems and students’ use of the resource
- Promote pupil conduct in the library in accordance with appropriate school policies
- Control stock and be the key point of reference for the SLS
- Promote the library resource to staff and pupils through enrichment opportunities
- Work with small groups of students to develop and promote reading skills

Healthcare Assistant/First Aid

Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3 – 5 £18,065 - £18,795 pro rata

Hours: 32.5 per week - term time only plus 5 days

The college is looking to appoint a healthcare professional to join a team of committed, caring and enthusiastic pastoral staff who share the college philosophy that all students should have the opportunity to achieve. Required from 1st September 2019 we are seeking to appoint a Healthcare Assistant / First Aid to provide all aspects of first aid to students, staff and visitors as required. You will collate and share medical information, arrange visits by NHS staff and collate and share accident/incident reports with relevant agencies. The successful candidate would be expected to hold a current 4 day First Aid at Work certificate prior to taking up post.

Mini Bus Driver

Hours – Casual Contract

Salary £8.82 per hour
