Election campaigns for who should be the King of England in 1066
6th December 2019
Friday morning was election morning for Mr Kay’s History class.
They had spent the last few weeks preparing election campaigns for who should be the King of England in 1066, after Edward the Confessor died. They campaigned on behalf of William of Normandy, Harold Godwinson and Harald Hardrada. It was a great morning, seeing more than 100 students and staff members coming along to listen to their speeches and look at their posters, and vote in the election. Lots of biscuits were consumed, too! This will lead on to them doing some politics work next week leading up to the General Election. The winner will be announced soon, so watch this space!
